Plane delayed. Dodgy takeoff and dodgier landing  scared2:

Got scammed by car hire company at Madrid airport  cussing: cussing:

Got instntly lost in Madrid. Finally got on right road and arrived (in thudnerstorm) to a delightful restored 16th century palace (£40 a night including breakfast ). Nod's room has a 4 poster bed  eeek:

It was late and dark when we arrived and parked the car. llegally.

The police have towed it away   facepalm:

We now have to go off and find the police car pound  noooo: noooo:

We located the car in a local car park where the police have a locked pound and we paid 76 Euros to release it, which we thought could have been worse  :thumbsup:

Closer inspection of the paperwork reveals that we additionally owe the police a fine of 210 Euros.  sad32:  This we have decided to ignore and will wait and see if it catches up with us via the thieving hire company. We have decided to leave town pronto and head to Salamanca, so now we are technically on the run from the police.  rubschin:
