FINALLy got insurance sorted for MM.
On the Moggy...presuming she likes it on Saturday and we actually drive it back....£461 tpf&t, including breakdown cover and £100k of legal cover.
Now THAT is reasonable imho for a teenager.
What I can't get me 'ed 'round, is the fact that in reality, the Moggy is a vastly inferior car in the safety dept to a modern one, yet it's deemed to be a far lesser risk!

No ABS. No airbags, no crumple zones, no soft dashboard, no crash beams in the doors, no disc brakes, no dual circuit brakes, no hazard flashers, no hrw, no laminated screen.
Now I'm not saying the car is unsafe, but the risk of survival and injury in the event of a biggy is far far less than the N Cap rated veihicles of today.
Most of us in here survived with these old timers in the past however it seems, so can't be that bad in reality.
The key is for top class driver training, simple.
