Rang MM's insurance again this morning, to see if I could find out exactly how much her premium had gone up by due to Mrs G's 'indiscretion' last November.
Oh no, they couldn't possibly do that. The computer sez no.

However, the gerl did suggest, why don't I ring their 'new business' dept, and ask them for a new quote rather than a renewal from her.
Did this, and after the customary fifty thousand questions, she came back with a quote £700 cheaper than the renewal one!

Would have been just over £300 cheaper again if it hadn't been for Mrs G's carelessness.

Moral of the story therfore is NEVER accept a renewal quote on any insurance. Go through the new business channel instead.
Still ain't going to be happening though mind you.
