Rang MM's insurance again this morning, to see if I could find out exactly how much her premium had gone up by due to Mrs G's 'indiscretion' last November.

Oh no, they couldn't possibly do that. The computer sez no.

However, the gerl did suggest, why don't I ring their 'new business' dept, and ask them for a new quote rather than a renewal from her.

Did this, and after the customary fifty thousand questions, she came back with a quote £700 cheaper than the renewal one!
Would have been just over £300 cheaper again if it hadn't been for Mrs G's carelessness.

Moral of the story therfore is NEVER accept a renewal quote on any insurance. Go through the new business channel instead.

Still ain't going to be happening though mind you.

I asked the gerly just HOW this huge price gap difference on the exact  same policy between 2 different depts. in the same building and company could be justified.

I've been offered a job driving a bus part time, but can I really be arsed spending £350 EVERY 5 years to sit and listen in a classrom for 5 days to some other twat prattlin' on about H&S issues and other such associated utter twoddle and shite?
This is what other PCV drivers have said it's like.
