You can't just leave 63 planes sitting around for 2 months - all sorts of things go wrong. I would be quite happy to go in and help towing them around to stop tyre flat spots, APU problems, hydraulic problems etc. 4 of us could do that and also do seriously deep cleans on them. Mad not to.

Granted it's the Fail but surely it would make more sense to keep the larger aircraft in operation as you can have more passengers while still maintaining social distancing on board.

Larger aircraft only make any sense when you have a shortage of landing and gate slots.  With Heathrow closing Terminals 2 and 3 somehow I don't think that's the case right now or any time soon.
