Normally, the big orange planes are full (156-186 seats). So far this morning:-

Milan Linate, 60 booked, 9 actually flew.
Milan Malpensa 44, 16
Bologna 50, 12
Venice 120, 43

This trend has been happening since it all "kicked off" in Italy. Won't be long before this is repeated in Spain, France, Germany...etc.

Also, as we clean the planes now, we supply the sanitising hand gel on the aircraft. We buy them for about 2.50 per 300ml. I've just seen  6 bottles of the same stuff selling on eBay for 114...also, the order for 300 boxes (3600 bottles) that is meant to arrive today is now delayed until 7th MAY as the suppliers have run out.

Is it time to stock up on tinned and dried goods?  eeek:
We just viewed our 'Brexit no deal' box of tinned food, bog roll and cat food as now being the Corona box

Back on aviation there's a nut on another forum who refuses to believe it's a virus and insists it's all been caused by emissions from planes   Maybe that alcohol gel shortage has been caused by him drinking it all
Well, whatever nevermind

It's turning into a bit of a massacre...

As expected, flight loads to Northern Italy are pitiful - today, 97 booked and only 8 turned up. Don't forget that that same flight 3 weeks ago had 156 booked (A319). Non-refundable tickets mainly, so we still fly and save shit loads on fuel. Future bookings, though, looking bleak...then they won't fly.

Even all-year-round stalwarts like Tenerife are suffering - 30-40 passengers not turning up for flights that are already 20-30 seats short of being full.

So far, Turkey, Egypt and Cyprus ( Thumbs:) holding up.

I guess not much relaxation from FlyBe becoming FlynottoBe.  Did they even do Gatwick?
