eeek: Never, ever, mix a good malt with ice!  eeek:
Correct.

In fact, never mix it with anything but a glass and your tonsils.

I was always taught that a good malt should ALWAYS be mixed with ................. another drop o' the same please
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

Sorry - woefully behind on bar activity.  Please give my best to Mr Barman.  May the glory of his grumpiness be fully restored very soon.

Dear I&AS - Just about to sign off now but Barman did ask whether or not you signed on in his absence, so he must have missed you too!
Will pass on your best wishes
Mrs. Barman

If our dear barman is unwell and hospitalised then we should all raise our glasses and wish him health, on the house.

I shall be happy to dispense free drinks to you all until he returns.

The less trusting side of me wonders at the sequence of events unfolding:

1. Barman refers to feeling unwell for a few days.
2. Barman goes into hospital.
3. "Mrs Barman" appears and writes messages to a similar, or higher, intelectual standard than Barman.

Do we have a covert surgical release of the 'inner woman' I ask?

Anyway, I am sure we all say get well soon to him and/or her. ;)

Good news!  cloud9:

Doctor says I can stop intravenous drugs today and have the canular (or however you spell it) taken out? If I don?t peg it in the next 24 hours I can go home? although I suppose if I do peg it in the next 24 hours I can go home too so it is a win-win situation really!  rubschin:

No, I hear on the quiet that it is touch and go at present, but obviously he doesn't know that, so keep it to yourself.

OK?
