I'm starting to wonder if the cult of Baldymort has invaded. Everywhere I look there are confused looking elderly gentlemen wearing socks and sandals..

We have Panicos and his Tardis van full of parts here...  cloud9:

When the Miele wishdosher packed up, he had a quick listen, dismantled it, desoldered a sensor, soldered a new one from the Tardis and put it all back together and fixed a leak under the sink at the same time - €50!  eeek:

Shall I send him over...?  rubschin:

Might be cheaper.  But seems it wasn't the sensor and Mihai the Miele Man is very good - he's fixed the Washing machine several times and the induction hob before - all under guarantee but this time not so.

Update:  he found and replaced the failed O ring gasket and then the circuit board that the resulting leak had ruined and found a problem with the earth continuity to the supply.

Took over 2 hours so £200 doesn't sound so bad.  (An equivalent replacement machine is well over £1k now)
