Referee is a babe...  eyes:

Excellent!

And an opera singer at half time...  eeek:
Brilliant

I read that he's like Hurricane Higgins but without the nasty side

He is fast!

He was generally very good humoured... But had a couple of 'moments' when he blamed his sloppy playing on the table, etc.

Overall seems to be a nice bloke as far as I could tell...

Changing the battery in a UPS that wasn’t really designed for such is a bastard. Especially when you know the little sod is going to be trying to generate 240V in its internals

It's a Powercool UPS 650VA

We only used it as a backup for the reclining chairs/sofa as it's a right pain to get out of them reclined during a powercut.

Not sure what I'm more pissed off about.  That it hasn't got that easy access that our other (Amazon own brand) UPS's do or that it burned through a battery completely in 3 years.

Much wiser ow about buying another UPS, on the positive side it was cheap (£50 delivered).

I did think about just binning it but at £18.50 for a new battery I figured worth at least another spin.
Well, whatever, nevermind

But this isn't the BIG lead acid battery outrage.  The continuing saga of the Toyota/Lexus flat battery issue.

Today I fitted one of these amazing gizmos (£35 off Amazon) A bluetooth linked battery charge monitor

And just look at the first reading and that's after the car was used for 30 miles

Seems to confirm what others are reporting on car forums:  Toyota have stuffed up and the 12V battery is hardly ever being charged.  Seems to affect several PHEV models.

Well, whatever, nevermind
