Changing the battery in a UPS that wasn’t really designed for such is a bastard. Especially when you know the little sod is going to be trying to generate 240V in its internals


What make ios that? I'\ve never had one without an easy-change battery option... 
It's a Powercool UPS 650VA
We only used it as a backup for the reclining chairs/sofa as it's a right pain to get out of them reclined during a powercut.
Not sure what I'm more pissed off about. That it hasn't got that easy access that our other (Amazon own brand) UPS's do or that it burned through a battery completely in 3 years.
Much wiser ow about buying another UPS, on the positive side it was cheap (£50 delivered).
I did think about just binning it but at £18.50 for a new battery I figured worth at least another spin.
