It's better than I ever even knew.  They say that the world was built for two.  Only worth living if somebody is loving you.  Baby now you do.

Steve good to see that you have been given a break and that your mother is more shaken than stirred.

Today I appear to be waiting at A&E for my mother to be X-Rayed after another fall.

Never knock the NHS. Ambulance was with her 5 minutes after we called it.   Oh and if you want to know of a remote emergency alarm system I can recommend one.

TTFN

Hope all goes well......
Cheers Apey and Boogs

She has finally been discharged and even better my brother has volunteered to take her for a couple of days. Parrently she fell off a stool in her kitchen banging head and hips and other places.

But nothing broken and no heart attack cause.

Parents eh, who'd have them

That's good news and I hope Mum makes a full and reasonably speedy recovery. Trouble is even if nothing is broken these types of instances do shake you up as you get older, so she will need a close eye kept on her for a while.

Parents yes, I miss ours  sad24: Still (was was the last over 3 years ago now) when the phone rings late at night my FIRST thought is which one of then is ill..............So although sometimes it feels a bit of a burden (inconvenience) if you are close to your parents then treasure them as best you can

Today I am mostly trawling through paperwork, I have unearthed my desk. I will be on shredding duty tonight, I am sure that collapso will help me complete this onerous task with the added bonus that if it fails I will at least forget about it until tomorrow.  Come to think of it (and there lays part of the problem, thinking is not a strong point of mine at present ) I may well just forget about it. cloud9:

Fair point well made and very tempting but it makes excellent bedding for the hens.
