Should I get one of these Windows 7 thingies?
I've got a dodgy copy of XP currently.

Will it help me like, and do I just lob the cd disc in to make it werk?
What happens to the XP then? Does it get wiped out by 7?

You have to start all over - install Windows 7 then all your programs again...

Well within my capabilties then, being the V.P.I.T whizz kid 2010 ey?  rubschin:

XP it is then...  whistle:

If XP does all you need I would leave it until they stop supporting it like...

It's a bit mmmmmm  rubschin: dodgy like which is problee why I've had so many problems.
I didn't know it was dodgy when this 'bloke' installed it for me btw. Message came up 6 months after he'd gone ::)
Wish I'd left the original Windows on here now.

Is that a bit tricky like, or is just a matter of pressing a few buttons on the keyboard and following a few instructions on the screen?  rubschin:
Could I 'gub' things p'raps, or is it pretty simple and virtually I.T illiterate numpty proof?

if you do not know what you are doing and you just install windows 7, you will lose everything you have on the computer now . The hard drive will be wiped clean.

True ..... I was just thinking that it sounds like a good way of clearing a lot of shite out of my PC and ending up with a nice clean machine loaded with and working on Windows 7.
Everything I think I'll ever need again is backed up on CDRs anyway.

Don't actually use it that much for werk tbqath Pirate.
I find writing stuff out in the way I can understand it, all logical like, werks for me better.
I can lay me mitts on stuff much easier doing it the analouge way.

I think I might do it then, but warn the others to save stuff they really want like piccies and homewerk onto a cd. rubschin:
