Took me longer to swop out the drive as I had to search the internet for a "how to do it" guide after I had taken the side off and removed the two screws holding the drive cage and still not being able to budge it. Turned out that there was a catch at the bottom of the cage that required pushing down with a long screwdriver.

Having been away for four weeks it is absolutely staggering to find the scale of 'updates' that Misco$oft adds to your PC... It has taken two days to download and install them all...

I fear we will all be forced to upgrade to '7 sooner than we thought...  noooo:

I have today ordered Windows 7 from amazon for ?65. (I think the ?120 quoted earlier is for a 3 license version) It will be delivered tomorrow.

The main PC I shall install it on has not got much RAM so I may have to increase that, otherwise I anticipate no problems 'cos the upgrade advisor told me so.

I can thusly stab people while Windows 7 ferks up my PC.
