Next doors cat has had kittens under our shed.

At first I thought ahhh yes, completely and utterly off topic..... yet again. ::)

I'm quite impressed now when I stand up and think about it. Most impressive. happy088

I found an email this morning promising delivery, on Monday, of something I haven't ordered.  shrugs:

Is there a link you have to click...?

I've always assumed that curiosity is supposed to get the better of you... click the link and drain your bank account or download a virus....  scared2:

It went through 2 sortation hubs in Birmingham overnight ... poor thing  ::)

They have 5 hours to deliver it to another address in West London  rubschin:

These people take PayPal so I have to authorise each payment .... I was on their site Thursday ~ 'aving a browse like and popped a couple of items into the basket .... But I didn't complete the order as I wanted to speak to SWWLTBO about summat else. I have checked with the site and it says "order dispatched with XYZ couriers" (as usual) and XYZ couriers have said they have it and will deliver Monday. No money has gone from my PayPal account. My debit card is untouched as I have a new one not yet registered with any supplier and my on line bank statement shows no movement for the past week.

All very puzzling  rubschin:

I got home to find a card abut a failed delivery I have to sign for.

I went on the website to rearrange delivery for today. The message back was "We will TRY to deliver it on Monday 18th"

WTF does that mean??

Substitute "Attempt" for try and it makes much more sense.

I remember when the Royal Mail changed from "attempt" to "try" .... much debate twixt Union (me) and RM (Deputy Postmaster) about the actual meaning that people would/could/should read into the change.

Just another way of spending/wasting public money at our regular Monday meeting.
