Don't think you can get round me like that either!

Bet Mrs Nick says that or a variation on the theme eh? Eh? EH?

Bet she holds out for the flowers, the chocs etc ~ well I'm holding out for my stick of Granada Rock.
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

Miss D has asked for a stick of rock too. At least, I think that's what she meant  rubschin:

BM ~ You go Off Roading ~ Do you see yourself as you really are or, whilst driving like that, do you not feel a bit excited by it all, out of your usual comfort zone, a bit James Bondish, in other words COOL?

Sorry, I missed this... I've been painting all day like...  noooo:

The Pajero is an awesome vehicle on or off road... I love driving it off road but don't really feel Bondish, I just enjoy the scenery that you'd otherwise miss...

Sorry...

I did feel like Mr. King in my XJRs in the UK tho...  cloud9:

Know what you mean and you do seem to be getting my point. Yes when I had a Jag I loved the feeling of driving it, even when passing a filling station and seeing the owner rubbing his hands with glee as he too knew that 18 to the gallon was the best I'd get.

One like this  ~ P reg, similar colour etc. It got nicked in North London.

Snoops me owld chump. I don't mean to take the piss really. I think it was just a bit of frustration creeping in due to my usual inability to comprehensively comprehend exactly what you are getting at.

You want to feel cool, not look it? rubschin:
OK. After much thought and consideration I think the coin has dropped.

You need a car that simply makes you feel good, looks good and that you can enjoy driving in comfort, a bit like a couple of the Growler fleet that always puts a grin on my face, yes?
Still don't really know what to suggest without doing some research tbh. P'raps a questionaire should be completed to give us a true picture of your as near as damn it requirements?

You're on motability scheme iirc? What about reverting back to receiving the allowance every month rather than sacrificing it for a new car every 3 years?
That way you could purchase your own car, such as a Jag XJ....cheap enough presently for a reasonably late example with FSH, and also iirc, you still receive free road tax too?
Just a thought. ;)

Not really taking this very seriously are you Nick? ::)

I'm genuinely trying to help here, as I enjoy this kind of conundrum.

Snoops. I really think you should consider purchasing the car you really want with your own allowance.
I know several that have done just that, and they now feel free not having to worry about the damned thing possibly getting damaged too.
The world of choice is then your oyster.
Some fantastic almost unbelievable ridiculously lowe priced bargains out there presently.  eeek:

It's most definately a purchaser's market. happy088

Slight difference.
I openly admit to knowing virtually nowt about 'puters, and quite frankly, find IT type talk postively boring. sleep017

Growler ~ the thought had crossed my mind ~ summat that, as you say, brings a smile to my face when I drive it and if I took the cash rather than the car then I would be able to shop around the second hand market, not be paying for the depreciation that occurs the minute you put a tax disc on the bloody thing. Yes, if I register it as a disabled persons vehicle then I do get free road tax. Of course with Motability I do also get free tyres, free servicing and free RAC (well not "free" but included in the price) so I would have to factor those expenses into the equation.
Well worth further thought though ~ and as you say I could get a second hand Jag or BMW to suit my taste  rubschin:

Thanks all. We can now move on whilst I ponder the options and vist a few dealers.
