Yellow Warning issued for near gale force to gale force westerly winds. Be aware!!!

Near gale force to gale force westerly winds are expected to affect the western, northern and southern coastal areas, as well as the windward high ground and mountain tops. Over those areas, near gale force to gale force winds 7-8 Bft are expected, with gusts reaching 9 Bft at times and possibly 10 Bft.

Due to the near gale force to gale force winds that are expected to affect the island, travel disruption might locally occur from downed trees and flying debris, which may lead to power outages and damage to buildings and vehicles.
