Small wonder we get power cuts when most of the village gets its leccy delivered on wooden poles. The Chapel sign referred to was erected by the Chapel without need for planning as they are a "Church" and thus exempt. When the cottage downhill from them had an extension built and rewired Scottish Power rocked up to connect them. First attempt blew half the fuses in the village as the cable drooped onto the new chapel sign. After some head scratching the extension was screwed to the top of the pole and the cable rehung.
