I'm sure it will be soon enough.

Meanwhile what's wrong with the library reading room?

Nothing. But I was thinking of my two week holiday in the Summer and the weight restrictions on baggage. There is no way in hell I will be able to take anywhere near enough reading material! This would be perfect! As it would be for my commuting!

Solution:
Order reading material on line and have it sent to your holiday destination by Amazon. You don't then need to carry it out with you and having read it sell it back via Amazon Market Place.

Amazon will deliver anywhere in the EC but they do charge a bit extra for it. I have used this method to get books to my niece in Switzerland when my brother asked me to get some books she wanted as a pressy from him but he couldn't be arsed didn't want to have to carry them on the plane.

And for the pedants I know Switzerland is not in the EC

It won't be cheap. Think it said it was a flat rate of 4ish pounds plus something per book. But it would remove the hassle that is for sure.

Or on the other hand you could pick up a half decent PDA for less than that install the mobile versions of Acrobat and Microsoft reader on the thing and then download the PDF and LIT versions of your books to read in just the same way. I have a substantial library on my PDA for when I'm working away from home.

It also has the advantage of being able to play films and TV programs that you have converted.
