I am bored now - waiting for a plumber to arrive.

Toilet cistern decided to not flush/refill anymore. It is one of those 2 button ones and I don't know how to take them apart. So much for the advance of technology.

Plumber's comment will be,

"I sorry, these in Poland not found"

Chaos ensued. Every department relies on that server to update all they do. On POETS day, they try to go earlier -4.30 and when the "system says no" they run, with wild eyes, foaming at the mouth to THE "IT bod" in the office. Which is me.

No words of re-assurance and comfort work. I am the devil. I managed to get full restoration of the server, minus a few last minute updates, by 5.10.

This made me late for my Young's so I ain't happy.

Bored at work?

Fed up with life in general?

Nothing constructive to do?

Nothing you fancy doing even though you know it needs doing (especially thos things that you need to do and know will need doing again tomorrow)?

Play here.
Bloody stupid that, it don't work. I kept clicking on the 'play here' and bugger all happened. I want my money back!

And today one of the ES7000 boxes has gone bang, meaning we are unable to payout anything, to anyone.

Which is a bit of a pi55er if you were expecting to complete your mortgage tomorrow. I'm retiring for a Guinness or two...

I've just finished the first (of many probably) draft of my CV.

Will email it to my cousin for vetting/tweaking - he runs a recruitment company. Hopefully he may be able to find me something, although the last job he told me about was in Poland!

Poland must be devoid of life, most of them are over here! Mind you, the ladies always appear to have good form... whistle:

It is so slow here at work I have researched, phoned and booked our christmas break in York. 4 days including xmas eve, xmas day and boxing day in a small but well appointed (bordering on the luxurious(ish)) flat about about 400 yards from York Minster.

Something to look forward to anyway.  cloud9:
