Unless there is a sudden emergency, bailing out of PMQ'x pretty much at the start of the session is not a good look  noooo:

Err no that was AFTER PMQs whoever titled that video is a liar and a stupid one at that because it's so easily shown to be a lie.

Not that Kearns and Dewhurst's accounts of what Starmer said at PMQs seem to be wholly accurate https://hansard.parliament.uk/commons/2026-02-04/debates/C63E8C34-DFCA-499D-8E13-515C58BEA3DA/Engagements

Quelle Surprise..  Banghead

Under the Dublin Regulation, which was adopted by the EU, asylum seekers must apply for asylum in the first country they enter. Asylum seekers holding a permit for one Schengen country were not typically permitted to move to another to file a new claim. If they did so, they may be returned to the first country.

And yet how large were the camps on the French coast back before we left the EU? This is just the latest iteration of established practice. The only difference is that the snivelling arsehole in No. 10 paid the French millions to carry on as before.  cussing:

We ceased to have any benefit of the Dublin agreement when we left the EU

That wasn't what I'd said. The camps existed on the French coast allowing a near constant stream of illegal immigration while we were still members and therefore supposedly under the benefit of the Dublin agreement. The deal that Starmer agreed with the French government allowed them to continue business as usual while while we paid them for it.
