Right, I have many allies and we are planning a big protest including a never-ending recreation of the Abbey Road Cover 

Why not just stand there and photograph every illegally turning vehicle?  Or accidentally tip a bucket of paint over a car when you have to jump to avoid its illegal turn

But volunteering to have a truck leave you as a red stripe amongst the black and white ones?

So as I understand it the council won't do anything about it as they say it's a police matter unless the government changes its powers (and the government is a little busy right now and next week, month or decade doesn't look good either) and the police say because the government won't give them enough funds they have an excuse not to do anything that doesn't endanger cops in cars

And they wonder why people take direct action

What stops the council putting in some BIG repeater red lights so it's bleeding obvious to the cars?

How about taking photos of the offenders and sending them to the police?  A decent camera in burst mode and they have all the evidence they need

But will it be seen by those the offenders care about?  Get them points on their licences and if the police won't do anything with cast iron evidence put them on your wall of shame instead - and ask them about their liability insurance, misconduct in public office and other interesting subjects.

That is part of the plan. The H&S guy on the video got bollocked by his employer for "deterring student enrolment" (Kerching). I suggested that dead kids would be more of a deterrent
