Nope, that's why Apey didn't come.

I thought it was really cheeky considering everyone had to pay to stay in the wedding hotel for at least one night also. Oh and 40 of us had to go for dinner the night before..

The more I think about it, she is the spoiled, pampered little bitch I always thought she was.  evil:

Plus if you get a gift, nobody knows how much you spend, when you give cash you don't want to appear to be a tight arse......

One of my nephews got married a couple of years back, they wanted a new car so they asked you to pay for parts of it. Thought it was quite a good idea, alhough I didn't contibute -  i thought that since thay had got married in Florida a few weeks prior & this was the 'English' reception, spending over £60 on petrol to get to Manchester & back & staying in a hotel for a couple of nights was enough outlay on my part. It lasted about 7 months. His twin is getting married in June, they have asked for money towards a honeymoon as they have been living together for about 5 years. The wedding is in Lytham St Annes so guess what they are getting from me ? That's right a bucket & spade.
I couldn't ask for better friends. I could ask for more NORMAL friends, but not better ones.
