And "The Man" did not appreciate my comment that I could have walked here from Watford in the time it has taken them to respond to my "Under Warranty" call out and he only to drive here from Rhyl (3.5 miles)
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

The problem is nothing to do with where it was made.

It has everything to do with the specification it was made to and the profit margin.

The problem is exacerbated by clever accountants working out that there will be 1,77 complaints per 1000 customers and a higher ratio than that will dent the profit margin therefore replacing the happy state of ignorance with the uncomfortable sense of responsibility - a word that has to be explained to far too many businessmen of late.     evil:

Since my last post I have had a bill from the Sweeps (?90 for 30 minutes work!!!)
A phone call from a neighbour to say was I aware that there was a man she had seen coming in and out of my back door (He's the painter).
A lady from the other end of the road has 'phoned to ask if we could use a couple or three pounds of Red Currants as she has too many for her own use and a local councilor has rung the door bell to give me a pound of runner beans from his garden. Whilst thanking him another councilor appeared at the gate to say he has tried growing cucumbers in his greenhouse this year but neither he nor his wife eat cucumber (No I can't work it out either) so would I like to take some off his hands.
SWMBO has returned and has been stopped, at the gate, by a lady whose bees "graze" on our lavender bushes. We have a supply of local honey now on route.
Meanwhile the painter has just made me a cup of tea!!!!
I love Wales ~ It's so.... so ...so.... well you know what I mean.  confused:

My local councilors put a red, blue or yellow piece of paper thru telling us they're better than the other lot...

Fortunately the local Community Council is non-political (Though I understand that one of the eleven members may belong to the Tory Party) and there's seldom, if ever, enough people willing to stand, to hold an election so it is all fairly easy going. Most council members have been doing the job for the past 25 years plus and took over from their fathers/grandfathers. Their budget is so small as to amount to pocket money and their responsibilities are about the same size. Whilst I wouldn't accept the time from our local MPs, Assembly Members etc without double checking I am happy to eat local grown cucumber and runner beans kindly offered and gratefully accepted.
