That's nonsense ... what if the child was born before the marriage or if you had remarried either way all the details about her would be different to those they have on you and that's only one thing .... Your surname.

I tells ya ~ it is piss poor staff training by someone who doesn't understand the roolz themselves.

Anywhoo at her age she can't have a cheque book or a debit card so she can only have a Teenage Savers account (by whatever name your bank use). RBS won't let kids have a cash card until they are 16 and I believe other banks are the same ... so what exactly are they frightened she might do? Money laundering? She can't even pick up her clothes and put them in the laundry basket  razz:

Oh noes ...she gets a cash card with it  and everything . Most teenagers these days have em  ::) . Thing they don't have is their own money to put into the account  ::)

SHe ought to get a job, like. I had a paper round at 13.  Saved up enuff to go to France at 15.

I ended up in hospital in Cherbourg, but hey..........

What about the voicebox ...they must need to learn how to disable that on a temporary basis ( until she has her own place like !!)
