Used to have a real tree every year at the start of December...   Xmas7:  Kids loved it...

Not bothered since I've been divorced though. I've also told everyone that I'm not exchanging gifts this year...and I'm working Christmas Day and New Years Eve... cloud9:

When the children were at home would put it up 10 days or so before Christmas.  Once they had left the weekend before.  This year f**k knows. noooo:

It goes up on the 14th of December each year - the Significant Spenders birthday - or so I'm instructed.

I always liked it up on the 1st of the month since I was a kid, but now I'm married I do as I'm told...  scared2:

Today I will be bunging up the tree.

This will involve testing the lights first and wondering what to do now Woolworth's have disappeared and the ol replacement bulbs section has gone forever  sad24:

Doesn't it look a bit mean just having 2 lights on the tree?
