Shop assistant told to remove poppy

Well done this lass for speaking out and letting the world know about these people. I hope every one of their doorways is blockaded by people wearing poppies with pride. No doubt they'll find a way of dismissing her but I would hope any of the many shops in that area offer her a job straightaway

There is something very nasty about American companies.
Hopefully customers will boycott their stores and hit them where it hurts.


They really need to learn "Hearts and Minds" are won by following local practice not by imposing their own dubious values. See also Afghanistan and Iraq.

Tis true they have done themselves no favours.....all that crap about " The appearance of our models in the stores is a critical part of the A&F store experience"  just makes me wanna heave  noooo:

She's not a model she is a feckin shop assistant  ::)

Although perhaps she does wanna be a model and the publicity would do her good ( the cynical side of the brain talking there  redface: )

I won't watch Channel Four News if Jon Snow is presenting as he says he won't wear a Poppy. He believes it is "glorifying war" and calls it "Poppy fascism"..... Twat!

The man is a highly paid news reader.
He should keep his opinions to himself and just read the news.  cussing:

Everyone on current affairs programmes on TV sports a poppy. I sure there is a more than a touch of coercion involved.

Jon Snow shouldn't feel the need to defend not wearing a poppy.

I agree with that...

I'm wearing my poppy with pride but the sight of everybody wearing one on the telly (added no doubt by 'make up' just before they go on the air is somewhat wrong in my humble opinion...

I'm not saying John Snow is not a twat tho....  noooo:
