Don't know if I have mentioned him before but if you are interested in that kind of thing you may want to have a look the works of John Douglas. He's a legend within the FBI, one of the two agents who pioneered criminal profiling and analysis and ultimately ended up in charge of their Investigative Support Unit. While developing criminal profiling he interviewed over 100 of the most evil convicted criminals you can imagine including Jeffrey Dahlmer, Richard Speck, Charles Manson, James Earl Ray, Sirhan Sirhan, John Wayne Gacy, David Berkowitz, and Ted Bundy.

He's released a series of books co written with Mike Olshaker that have covered aspects of his work as well as what he described as his journey into darkness.

He was a brilliant driver but as Patrick Head (or was it Frank Williams) said

Well in a moment of "I'll watch it so you don't have to" I put the Rings of Power on. Entertainment Weekly may have been kind..

The show opens with a young Galadriel rugby tackling some kid and about to beat the living daylights out of them for throwing stones at her paper boat and sinking it before being stopped by her brother, followed by some of the worst dialogue I've heard in ages.

"Dp you know why a ship floats but a stone drops? Because the stone sees only down"

And seems to go downhill from there:

Galadriel jumping off another elves sword before slaughtering a troll that was attacking her party (yes, that scene from the trailer).
Harfoot camouflage and 'stealth' caravans. 
Waddling dwarves
The whole thing feeling like a bad 80's B movie

On the plus side...............er.............well the CGI looks pretty decent.

Somehow I don't think I'll be watching the rest of the series  noooo:
