That is the problem in a nutshell...

When we first moved here there was an Intelligence Officer from the base living above us. He told us lots of amazing stories!  eeek:

One of the things I remember particularly though was him saying that the IRA was relatively easy to protect your bases against because you can put yourself in their mindset and imagine the different things that they might do to hurt you.

With the ragheads, he said you simply can't do that - it is impossible to think logically about an attacker that actually wants to die in the process of hurting his enemy.

He moved out overnight when they captured Saddam!  eeek:

 I lived wiith a guy in Limassol who was part of 12SU, he was from newcastle and used to go on "trips" to visit his mum. I have never seen anyone Come back from newcastle with a suntan.
Apey used to get him pissed to find stuff out, frightening how much we knew before the rest of the world did.

Apey was just scared cos he had to buy the beers
