Have now watched the 5 episodes of True Love. The half hour standalone stories shown on the BBC this week, where the cast are meant to have improvised .

Strong cast list  but the first 3 pieces were really quite depressing if this is what modern love is all about  and cliched - in that one sorry sorts the whole thing out.  noooo:

Even Billie Piper as a potentially lesbian school teacher with Jenny Agutter as her mother ( did Nick cast the parts  rubschin: )

But the last 2 with Jane Horrocks and David Morrissey were fab

Just watched Veep - Armando Iannucci’s  attempt to translate The Thick of It into  American politics.

Takes a bit of getting used to and to not think of the English version but not bad

Poor Sir Patrick's almost unintelligible now;  he was my old man's favourite presenter  ;D

Sad to see.  noooo:

Mr C, a physicist and keen night sky and space travel watcher was over the moon, if you will excuse the pun, when he met Sir Patrick, who is one of his heroes and was the speaker at his son's ( a physicist and space scientist) graduation ceremony. We have many pictures of said event.  It was  about 7 years ago so the grand chap whilst wheelchair bound was still able to hold a decent conversation.
I have always thought that the worst thing about drowning was having to call 'help!' You must look such a fool. It's put me against drowning.
