Just watched the recording from the bit where Woodstock came home and started talking at me ~ that's when I pressed the record button. It's very dark drama ..... not at all like Morse.  scared2:

You think I actually listen?  eeek:
How do you suppose we stayed married for this long? She is a monologue that just happens to pause for breath occasionally. I am merely required to look attentive.

BTW Pastis:

I just worked out the best thing about these Nordic thrillers .... unlike Morse, Lewis, Frost, Midsommer Murders etc where you know within minutes who dunnit cos it's always the "Famous" actor you don't know anyone in the Nordic fillums so you have no idea who is the murderer.

Mind you I did enjoy the Inspector Montelbano series too .... different sort of crime although a familiar format. Good, loveable cop with quirks that make him a bit of a rebel who always gets his man ..... but again not having a fooking clue who is a known actor you can't solve it in the first five minutes.

Montalbano, coming after the Nordic sagas was a touch of Mediterranean sunshine, very enjoyable. I agree that the anonymity of the cast adds to the suspense but there's more than that, they're very dark - both visually and thematically. That 1st episode of The Bridge was almost all shot at night  eeek:
Some of the culprits barely appear in the first few episodes, certainly the case in The Killing.

Shall try and watch Part II later - that Swedish female cop's quite a nutter, and her colleagues have said as much  lol:
