The BBC holds United Kingdom transmission rights. "Excursion to Tindari" and "Montalbano's Croquettes" ("Gli Arancini di Montalbano") were first aired in the UK on BBC Four in December 2008.[1] and [2] "Montalbano's Croquettes", episode 8 of the 10 available, was repeated in December 2010 and "Excursion to Tindari", episode 5 of the 10 available, in August 2011. On 11 February 2012, it started airing "The Snack Thief", the first of the existing 10 episodes, in its 9pm Saturday evening slot, previously occupied by both series of "The Killing (Danish TV series)" and, more recently, "Borgen (Danish TV series)". "The Voice of the Violin", episode 2 of the 10, was the only other episode scheduled - due to air on 18 February 2012. [3]
