64 quid per person per night is not cheap! eeek: For my family that would cost ?2240 for a week.

These things are, of course, relative. If you can afford it ~ then it is cheap. If you cannot then it is not.

Do pay attention at the back. evil:

It was 64 quid for all three of us you dummy!! That is the ROOM RATE. And since it was a SUnday night and Parliament was off on its hols (hence Ottawa empty) they chucked in free breakfast and valet car parking. You couldn't get that rate in Rhyl on a wet October weekend!! ::)

Geddit?

Trip only marred by the uber-Gallic types in Montreal. Mrs Nick got into two altercations with Froggy minions - one a waitress and one a Metro operative. They had not reckoned on her fluent French or canine ancestry. scared2:

We have arrived back to find the house full of teenagers (Children and more cousins). There are some worrying hairstyles point:

Screwed up tonight. Gotta phone call from some other cousins who were in the area and wished to drop by to see Mrs Nick and the rest of us. We said we would do a BBQ. Got some stuff and got to work. Mrs Nick said we should give them snacks when they arrived, so I hunted in cupboards and set out various interesting snacky nibbley things.

They tucked in and exclaimed how good and unusual they were.

When they left there was still some of this stuff left, so Mrs Nick said let's return the remains to the packets they came from. "In that cupboard, " I said. She went a - rummagin' and then emerged to reveal that we had fed them on dog biscuits eeek:

QUite tasty though

All my internal organs are now in the wrong order and Mrs Nick  sick2: sick2: sick2: sick2:  on a ride we sneaked her on to which she did not know was a roller coaster, cos they hid the dangerous stuff as you got on to a seemingly innocuous ride (I pleaded ignorance evil:). Anyhow she didn't [puke on me, so that was OK. The Boy has lost his voice from screaming too much  ;D and my back is playing up cry:

That standing up roller coater was a bugger!
