Touch screen compootahs
« on: July 27, 2010, 07:50:56 PM »
Currently I am house sitting for me bruv.

His (or rather his wife's) compootah has a very large touch screen with which you can can do all the things simply by touching the relevant bit of the screen (apart from typing...) that you would do with a mouse. All very flashy, but personally, I still prefer using a mouse. Any of you lot tried one?

Thanks apc!

I had the chance to play with one of these a while back.

If they ever get around to building this into a TV they could have a hell of an all in one media centre. Just don't let the kids loose on it.
I do not have ducks. I do not have a row. I have squirrels and they are all at a rave.

Does punching seven bells out of it with me fists on a regular basis count, usually after one of Nicks' posts?

I was around when HP launched the HP 150 touch screen computer, oh many many years ago... Oh Wiki tells me it was 1983...

It was shite then and I suspect shite now... the problem was that you still had to move your fingers from screen to keyboard to type... and the screen got covered in shite...  noooo:

Daughter used one yesterday ~ To take her driving theory test.

She said it was filthy and yucky and she didn't want to have to touch it.

Oh and she failed by 2 points. ::)
