Sparks will come and install and take away the old 'un. He's started his stand-up routine already;  I explained I couldn't do such and such a time because I'd be at the Dentist's.

Oh you can't do that ~ the law says it must be a qualified man wot does it. If you do it yourself you'll invalidate your insurance (Another NuLabour law) and the warranty on the oven PLUS if you want to sell the property you have to have a certificate from a "Qualified Person" to say he fitted it.

Well, at about 27 Kilos it's not the easiest thing to manoeuvre single handedly. Delivery man (about 6' 2" and 15St) was breaking into a sweat and he had a porter's trolley. Then there's the inevitable scraped knuckles, strained muscles, blood, sweat and tears disconnecting the oldy, stripping down the power lead, removing it and disposing, fitting the new one into position ...
I think for a couple or three notes I'll let Jim the sparks take the strain  whistle:
