She would never settle on one style so never built up a loyal fan base but she could really sing.  Hopefully still can as she's still performing and on tour soon  http://www.kikiandcarmelo.com/

IIRC she was the first white artist signed up by Tamla Motown

Quick Google tells me she was the first white British artist they signed. I didn't realise she was with Motown

My brother had a Kiki Dee Band album in the 70s which was excellent and really showed what she could do, and then she went back to singing pop tunes. 

R Dean Taylor?  Forgot him   Indiana didn't
