I reckon it will run for 18 months more or less. I suspect Cameron will go for it with a half promise to hold a referendum on voting reform in return for Lib/Dem support. The Tory party will never wear a deal that gives PR to the Lib/Dems but I reckon enough would agree to a referendum when they could then canvas for a "No Change" vote for Cameron to get away with it. 18 months is the minimum needed to implement some of their promised measures without spooking the markets and also get a referendum bill through.

BREAKING NEWSLiberal Democrat sources have told the BBC's Jon Soppel that Gordon Brown delivered a diatribe laced with threats when he spoke to Nick Clegg last night by phone. It was in sharp contrast to the respectful and constructive talk between David Cameron and Mr Clegg, they added.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder as threats are in the ear of the listener.

If they eventually do a deal with Gordon then their tune will change and a diatribe of threats will become a meeting of minds and sharing of mutual values.  ::)
