Will the wife of the party leader have influence on how you cast your vote?
I heard the start of Woman's Hour this morning and Jenni Murray (Why can she not spell her name properly?) kept referring to "Samcam". She then went on to mention "Sarah Brown, wife of the Prime Minister" not, you will note, "Sarbro" and to Mrs Clegg as "Miriam Gonzalez Durantez". Apparently Ms Murray is concerned that voters are using the wives as a means of selecting who would be best PM. She claimed that Dennis Thatcher would not have tolerated this and laid the blame on Mrs Obama actively campaigning to get Old Jug Ears elected.
So what difference does the man's wife make (unless she is willing to

in return for your vote)?
Also what's with this "Samcam" nonsense? A bit more BBC "impartiality" I suppose.
