Watched The Godfather again on Friday night; stands up very well after all this time and then got hooked into watching Part II last night.
Around midnight we were just about to get into the last reel, or final chapters as the current nomenclature is and there was an ad break. That's ok, it's expected. What I didn't expect was for the previous reel to be shown again  eeek:

( I know, mentioning reels is showing me age  redface:)

In mild indignation I push a quick email to Film4 asking WTF is going on?  They resolved it after a quick, further ad break and then got back to where we should have been  razz:

Sunday morning and guess what?

I was stuck in a hotel in Beijing one night with a colleague that had been drugged (long story)....

Anyhoo... they were playing The Game on the TV movie channel but on VCD which meant they had to change the disc every ten minutes or so...

We got through god know how many discs until about fifteen minutes before then end of the file they ran out!  eeek:

Well...

I went to China to see a customer like...

Took one of my Engineers with me...

He was a big drinker so most nights I'd off to bed and he'd stay in the bar drinking Tsing Tao with the locals...

Anyhoo... this one night, I got a call at 2am "Mr. Barman! Mr. Jim has smashed up the bar"

It was clear that he'd been drugged in some way and I had to sit up with him all night making sure he didn't kill anybody...

They took him up to the room on one of those luggage dolly things...  lol:

Anyhoo... that's why I ended up watching The Game on telly in a hotel room in Beijing with another man.
