Killing cyclists
« on: January 26, 2010, 05:45:18 PM »
I could have bagged a couple this afternoon; what stopped me was the fact that I was in a careful and observant frame of mind. The first one decided to risk life and limb and completely ignore his red traffic lights (as they're wont to do) pedalling furiously across the intersection as I accelerated from his left  noooo:
I slowed, he swerved and smiled ... I gestured ...  Finger:

The second one was in a world of his own. Think Rastafarian, think Push bike, think wrong way down a one way street  doh:
All smiles, relaaaaax man 'n' chilllll  noooo: noooo:

The problem is that one of these days there'll be contact followed by big trouble  noooo:

I vaguely recollect the law has changed. If you kill one, it's your fault. I hate the ones in padded shorts. They ought to buy comfy saddles and wear normal clothes. They look like tits.

Precisely.  It'll be my fault  evil:

I have a bike. The same code applies to me whether I'm driving or cycling; and I wear normal clothing.

Another tonight, a classic if the term can be used  noooo:

It's dark, the bike has no lights, he's wearing dark clothing and to cap it all ... well, guess his ethnicity  noooo:

Sooty has ethnicity?  eeek:

I was going to post an image of a face I found on a search which bore a loose resemblance... When I went clicked to view and  download it the words "VIOLATING THE TERMS OF USE" came up.  evil:
The cyclist was an ugly black geezer; fact!  Shrugs:

I think BM was using another meaning of 'Sooty'.
