And you think these twats compare to real comedians? I'd rather watch Bernard Manning.
Harry Hill is not witty and is about a funny as a dose of syphilis. Harry Enfield was a one trick pony. Sense of humour? ~JHC you'll be telling me that Reeves and Mortimer are funny and that Noel Edmonds is entertaining next.

You want comedians then think Tommy Cooper, Eric Sykes, Tony Hancock, Spike Milligan, all men who knew how to create real humour. Think Humphrey Littleton, Barry Cryer, John Cleese. Educated and witty men all.

Actors, some Rada and RSC trained, like Warren Mitchell and others like David Jason, Bob Hoskins, Ron Moody etc who can make you laugh or cry with a simple gesture. Pure genius.

In your humble opinion!  lol:

Harry Enfield is hardly a one trick pony (remember Stavros and Loadsamoney?) although I think his current output is shite...

How very dare you evil:
My opinion is not and never has been humble. The opinions expressed are considered and heart felt. That they differ from the more immature opinions of others matters not to me. We were asked for an opinion and I gave mine. End of story

Oh and I think you will find that Stavros and Loadsamoney were introduced in the same series since when Enfield has produced nothing of worth.

Well in my humble opinion Harry Hill is great. happy088
I don't give a flying jot if he's simply trying to appeal to the 'mass audience prime time shite audiences'. So bloody what? His scripts are very simple clever and extremelly well constructed, and I don't give a toss what you lot think about that.

Anyone that makes me laugh spontanieously has got to be good...IMO. cloud9:

Meanwhile I'll re-iterate that Gervais is the biggest and most grossly overated wanker on tv ever....in my humble opinion.
Anyone that laughs all the time at his own 'funny' comments has got to be a total self opinionated tool.
I bet he's one nasty little bastard in real life, and I would personally like to punch him right in the mouth to wipe that constant sickly smile off it. sick2:

I like Harry Hill ...his face and his expressions just makes me laugh

I like some of Gervais's stuff but have to say it's a bit hit and miss - the Ghost Town film he did was not good  noooo:

You bunch of ninnies, of course you don't all like the same comedians/actors/shows.  ::)

Every one of them mentioned here has at some time made me chuckle and sometimes cringe.

Once you arrive at a situation where almost everybody agrees on the merits of a person, you either have a religion or the Third Reich.

I mostly despair

Just again to defend Mr Hill in the wake of Snoopy's attack on the illnonundjookated, Harry Hill is a qualified Doctor.  Growler, I am not to say you can't like his TV Burp (I personally don't) but his stand up was very good.

To further, I like Frankie Boyle and Jimmy Carr also, both have a nack of having a look at the line and crossing it with gay abandon...

This tool has actually gone up one rung on the social ladder now after these recent comments that apparently caused 'a storm.' eeek:

Ricky, 48, jokingly claims that "irresponsible" parents should be sterilised for the good of society.

There are, he says, "too many unwanted children, too many people who are poor and struggling.

"If they all had a good quality of life, no one would complain. What there is, is too many useless people. Too many people who shouldn't have children."

Gervais was then asked whether there should be a limitation on childbearing.

"Yes, based on... stupid, fat faces," he replied. "If there's a woman in leggings, eating chips with a fag in her mouth, sterilise her."

But that's not based on class, insists Ricky.

"I described an irresponsible parent. Chavs could be included in irresponsible though."
