One of Mrs JOM's ways of keeping out of my way is her pasttime of restoring furniture. Today she's discovered "Le Salvager" on Discovery Shed channel. We've never seen this before but its a joy to watch.
None of that H and S bollocks, wearing goggles, ear defenders, and face masks for the most menial tasks like the DIY programs do here. I've seen him cutting cast iron with his angle grinder above his carpet letting the remains drop on to it, clambering over roof tops in his shorts, nothing on his feet, lighting a fire in the garden to burn paint off metal work, but I did cringe when I saw him trimming some joists with a chainsaw at above head height as he leaned forward off his ladder
