And you just know it's right!
This has happened to me today.
Because of my unexpected trip to horsepickle and his copping the wrong shift over Christmas today is the first time I have seen lil bruvver for several weeks ~ you wouldn't think he lives less that 5 miles from me. Anywhoo the brave little soldier turned up at crack of sparrows today (fresh from the night shift) to deliver his pressies to wifey and I (he had taken care of the kids weeks ago, we had their pressies hidden ready for Christmas morning).
So he handed over parcels for wife and self. We gave him our pressies to him, he wished us all a Happy New Year and got SWWLTBO to drive him home, leaving his little used car (Fiat) here for my use until the Land Rover is fixed. He knows I cannot officially drive at the moment but says he doesn't want me to feel "trapped" when SWWLTBO is at work.
When she returned we opened his pressies and one of the things he gave me was a mug, with a pack of "Breakfast Blend" tea bags and some choc chip cookies. The mug is dark "Teapot" brown (remember your Grannies teapot? ~ That colour and glazed finish). I have seldom had a better container for a cup of rosy in all my life. It is just sooooooooooooooooooooo right. It feels good in the hand, it looks the right colour, it holds enough and the tea stays hot! Brilliant pressy!!!!
He gave me lots of other stuff too but this mug is perfection.
