Day 2 of having solar panels installed, just about got the garage (where the battery goes) tidied in time. Place is a mad house, road is even madder as Southern Water are fixing the sewers.
What could postibly . . .
Oh, a PV system - do tell more!
23 maybe 25 x 490Watt panels split front (West) and back (East) of house
10kWhour battery (although only 8kwH usable)
Plan is it gives us year round protection of basic services (fridges, phones, interweb, one light) with free electricity for 6 months of the year. We might get to sell some during peak months.
Amazingly we used 8,472 kwh of electicity last year (£2103 worth) even though the heating is gas.
Blimey, 12kW?
I have a 5kW system here, but I guess our weather is somewhat more suitable...
I make about 30kWh per day at the moment and Jan to today have produced 4MWh.
I don't have battery storage (yet). I have a Nett Metering System which means any lecky I don't use during the day (Production - Consumption) goes as a credit on my lecky Bill...
Last two months bill was €26 which is all 'fees' as my overall consumption was zero.
The only issue with it is that in the event of a power cut I lose power here even if the panels are producing... Hence the b attery interest.
