8 pin bowling but cat fiascos

Went into kitchen early doors to get coffee and feed cats and nearly trod on dead mouse  .  They haven't brought one of those in for ages.  And just about to go out when Mrs K shouts out - we have a live vole in our front room that one of the little sods has brought in. 

Could we catch it?  No, could we find the mousetraps (non lethal obvs)? No. 

So been out come back and after over an hour the traps have been found and baited.  on that.

Then a horrible howling noise as the little darlings have seen a neighbours cat on the patio.  So I goes out and said intruder bolts in panic and falls into our fish pond.  It is now out and safe and looking very wet and grumpy

You do realise that cats do this to teach the weaker members of the group or provide food to the elderly
