LL planted a load of busy lizzies (sp?) in pots on the patio before she left for the UK (Miss D saw them) and left strict instructions on their care...
I was told in no uncertain terms that they would not die naturally before she returned!

Anyhoo... the bloody things have been disappearing like carrots on a bugs bunny cartoon.

I'd assumed that the cats or dog must have taken a liking to them for some reason... I just went outside and another had gone - I immediately accused the dog...

Then I noticed.....

A mahoosive caterpillar like - with eyes as big as saucers!
There was one actually eating a busy whotsit and another casually strolling between the living and recently departed plants!

They both took flying lessons rather earlier than nature intended!

How can I explain to LL in simple, believable terms how Miss D killed them?
