I fear that Epsom will never be the same again. Not that it doesn't need blowing up anyway.  eveilgrin:

Don't freak me out. We were talking about the Spread Eagle when Mother Wench was here.  eeek: Granny Wench was telling stories of the good old days.

I tried looking it up, maybe an old piccie or two, but found the clothes shops and the Chicago. Not sure if there is a decent pub left in Epsom now. Used to be the odd one in the back streets but they have probably gone now, that's if I could remember where they were.

There is the Marquis which was fine up until recently when it changed hands. The Blenhiem which has also gone down hill. Most of Epsom is trendy bars now anyway.

I tend to go to Ewell Village for pubs these days.

Not sure I know either of them. Last pub I was in round that part of the world was the Rubbing House (on the downs) for my nephews 18th. Quite a bit different than when I used to go there, years ago.
Haven't been to a pub in Ewell for years.
Used to work at Lower Kingswood so mainly went to pubs around there, most of which were very nice.

The Rubbing House is still there. The downs pubs don't tend to change all that much.
