Voting for haircuts
« on: April 24, 2009, 01:17:46 PM »
Mrs Nick has returned home with a hairstyle catalogue  noooo:

SHe announces she is 'fed up' with her hair as it is and wishes to be transformed. A short list is drawn up and I am invited to comment and advise. This has to be done very carefully  scared2:

Style 1 would make her look like something living in a burrow  noooo:
Style 2 looks good on the model (who is about 15)  noooo:
Style 3 looks like something worn by alien wimmin in sci-fi films  noooo:
Style 4 looks like her hair in its present state only shorter  noooo:
Style 5 looks idiotic  noooo:

I am now required to go through the hair catalogue and make further recommendations before she heads off to some expensive barber and gets it cut. I shall advise her to take a hat  noooo:

Tell her she looks lovely as she is.... cloud9:

When we get to the " I want something completely different haircut stage" we are generally quite pissed off or depressed.

If she does anything too drastic she will hate it and it will be your fault.

Seconded...
I have always thought that the worst thing about drowning was having to call 'help!' You must look such a fool. It's put me against drowning.

Absolutely right. Don't let her change it at any price (and it will be quite a price).

Tell her she has it just perfect and you are pround to be seen out with her wearing her current dignified style.

Be prepared to tell her that any change will make her look like a) Someones Granny. b) Mutton dressed as lamb. c) Jade Goody

Does a Stacey or a Shanelle involve bleach or special colouring?

Classic no win situation ~ my ex started this lark, six different styles and three different colours in a year, followed by evening classes in yoga and f*ck knows what else. It was, she said, all an attempt to "find her true self" then the affairs started and she eventually walked out.

I am not saying Mrs Nick is heading in that direction but you can be sure something in her life is pissing her off and since she is floundering around trying to find and solve it the answer will in the end be you. Get your arse down the gym daily and get in trim ~ you are going to have to change Nick to satisfy her ~ if you don't she will.
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.
