Food poisoning
« on: April 08, 2009, 07:51:20 PM »
Think I've poisoned Mrs Growler. eeek:

We had some left over pineapple chunks for tea that I slopped out of a tin that I opened 3 days ago.
Me and Mrs Growler had them, and they did taste decidedly bitter and 'orrid.
She's just thrown up violently  sick2:  sick2:  sick2: and I'm in the dog house from all 3 Growlers now.
My guts are currently 'murmmering' in anticipation of a visitation to the great white telephone, in the small hours no doubt.

Just when I thought this bastard year couldn't get any worse. noooo:

He knows nowt.

Mrs G still feels rough, and my guts are in turmoil. A classic case of dodgy pineapple belly. ::)

Never leave food in an opened tin. noooo:

Sorry you and Mrs G are not well  happy100

Not convinced it was the pineapple though .....3 days in an opened tin shouldn't be too much of a problem if in the fridge.

Are any of the little ones feeling off at all ???

No, they had yoghurt.

I can't actually remebrer when I first opened the tin, but it could have been more like 4/5 days ago.
Apparently the acidy juice reacts with the tin once air gets to it, and sort of blends into the contents.
In essence, we've both got tin poisoning imo.
