Ah the joys of old motorcycles! I have just changed the engine oil but the tray I had for the old stuff wasn't quite big enough, hence oil all over the bike lift and me  redface:

Two old T-shirts sacrificed in the clean-up operation.

I love the smell of Duckhams in the morning!

First thing I did when I got my TR6 home was to drain the oil...

It did hold a lot...  redface:

Don't talk to me about oil. noooo:

I think I destroyed my best and favourite old comfy coat on Saturday doing me 60k service. sad32:
It's all over the back and arms after walking past a ramp post. Soft shite that I am. noooo:
I've tried to get it all off with turps, and it's currently in the washing machine.

The house currently smells like a tramps refuge. sick2:

Did the "Pioneer Run" yesterday, me on the 'umph and my friend on his Vincent. We stopped just passed Handcross in another Vincent owner's house - he invites all Vincent owners to stop there for tea/coffee/burgers/hot dogs etc. In the driveway of his house were about 40 Vincents, total value about 2million  eeek:

The "Series A" below is worth about 250,000 on its own  eeek:

I felt quite embarrassed having a "mere" Triumph  redface:

Rocker gaskets changed  cloud9:

Found a stud near at the bottom of the gearbox that wasn't quite as tight as it should be and was leaking a bit of oil. So I tightened it. And stripped the thread  evil:

I know  evil:  The proper course of action now would be to take the engine out and have the offending thread helicoiled.

I, however, will simply put a 5/16ths whitworth stud in, as that will cut its own thread as it goes in.  redface:
