Vanishing e mails
« on: July 30, 2008, 01:51:20 PM »
My Outlook Express alerts me to incoming e mails. For the last day or two it reports incoming e mail, then pings to alert me to their arrival, then nothing happens. No e mails. A lot of my subscription e mails have failed to arrive too.

Virus?

Setting change?

Look in your "Junk" mail box. Your settings may be identifying some emails as Junk and sending them there rather than to your in box.
If this is not the case I'll send you an email and we'll see where it goes.

Agree with Snoops - in the first instance look at your Junk e-mail box.

If that is empty, let us know.

Eight minutes after he asked the question I replied with a possible solution. I follow that up with an email to "check his system settings" and where is he ~ fvcking vanished is where.

I can only assume he has the back off his PC looking for little envelopes full of emails.   whistle:

Strangely your email went straight into my Junk Box  eeek:

I have replied.

If the reply doesn't show up I would suggest phoning your service provider's help desk and getting them to talk you through a complete reset ~ unless they immediately confess to having a problem today.

You might first try sending yourself an email. That's my usual test when in doubt.

OK. A little plus sign in a box has appeared next to a number of emails. When I click on it new emails appear. What setting is that then?  rubschin:

Nah Snoop, you mentioned junk mail so he was out the back going through his dustbins...  whistle:
