Diana and my friend Ian engage a formless body, which turns out to be the waitress. She explains that all the waiters are visibly impaired. "And the chef?" I inquire innocently. Cue: another much deserved slap, possibly from Diana, possibly from the waitress.

 ;D

I give it six months...  noooo:

If they employ partially sighted and blind staff as they claim then perhaps it was set up just to get the grants that were available for such an employer and when it doesn't work out they have a fully fitted and equiped restaurant that only needs someone to turn on the lights.

I know I'm just a cynic. ::)

Visually impaired I can understand. Visibly impaired has nothing to do with eyesight.

Perhaps because it is dark, everyone talks loudly, which prompts a waitress to shout: "Be quiet!" Charming.

I don't see the point but it would appear they do ...

Is the dark room monitored by CCTV cameras?

Yes, we do film the room with infrared cameras and keep records to ensure visitors' welfare and safety. Please be assured that we only watch the records in case of an incident or on customer request.

Be a bit risky anyway, with the lights out your date could think that it is part of the meal and just bite down..  eeek:
